Congratulations on this wonderful opportunity! La Scuola is a key partner with a lot of opportunity to expand.

In order to be successful, please arrive at least 15 - 20 minutes early. The most successful instructors are punctual, consistent and are amazing teachers. The school has told us that they may remove instructors who are not punctual.

Smartboards are available to all instructors and there is wifi. Additionally, there are specific materials available to the students for specific classes:

- Keyboards
- Laptops or chromebooks
- Storage space

If you teach art, please curate the students’ work into a portfolio that can be stored at the school throughout the year. At the end of the term, you’ll be able to have a “gallery showing” and invite the parents to view the artwork!

If your topic is conducive to parent demonstration, e.g. performing arts, martial arts, music, chess, STEM, language, the school will help you organize an end-of-term parent performance in the last class. It’s an exciting way to demonstrate to parents the wonderful impact you have made on your students!

And finally, prior to the start of the term, the school will hold an (unpaid) brief introductory meeting at La Scuola. The purpose is for the headmaster and afterschool director to welcome you to the community, review the logistics and set you up for great success!
