Class Description
In this sustainability focused course, students will use recycled materials (paper scraps, stray fabric, old house hold objects, etc.) and re-image their use. Whether it’s creating pencil pouches from stray fabrics or vases from water bottles, this multi-media class will engage students in creative, artistic exploration.
Students will be encouraged to use their imagination as we explore various media, artistic techniques, and 3-D shapes. Each class will introduce new tools and technique for “upcycling” alongside a project to guide students.
Students will leave this course understanding the exciting potentials of reusing materials and have the opportunity to make fun objects for themselves and others.
